Dealing with Spam
How do i deal with all the Spam i’m getting?
Probably the best solution to this problem (at this time) – is to setup a Gmail account and link is to you current email account. This way you can take advantage of their state-of-the-art spam filters (these are intelligent filter, not manually set by you).
Most of our clients are using this system and they’ve reported a 99% reduction in email spam (almost immediately). Personally, my Gmail catches about 200 junk mail messages per day. They all just end up in my Spam Folder, i can double check it if i want, but these are deleted regularly by the Gmail system.
You can also setup Gmail with your current Email Cient software. For example, Outlook, Eudora, and Apple Mail. Once this is setup correctly, you can download directly to your computer – only messages from your inbox – which has already been filtered for spam.
So basically, the process would be something like:
squirrel mail –> gmail (w/filtering) –> your mail client (optional)
